Excel can mean different things to different folks depending on their circumstances and what is important to them. It could mean exceling at sports, grades, or reaching your retirement goals. In the book High Octane Brain by Dr. Michelle Braun, it means something altogether different. EXCELS is an acronym for ways to reduce your risk of developing dementia through the following lifestyle changes.
EX = exercise
C = Consume Healthy Foods
E = Engage and Learn
L = Lower Stress and Boost Well-Being
S = Sleep for Brain Power
